THREE YEARS COMPLETE
Hebbronville, TX
HEBBRONVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Barraz Genesis proudly marks three years of partnership with Hebbronville Elementary School, a community central to our mission. During this time, we supported K4 to 2nd-grade students through tailored literacy programs, distributed 1000+ books, and hosted monthly family literacy events. Our commitment also extended beyond education, providing essential clothing to nearly 100 families. This partnership reflects our dedication to creating meaningful, community-driven impact.
Sylvia Barraz Memorial Golf Tournament
On June 24, 2023, Barraz Genesis hosted a memorial golf tournament and fundraiser in Mission, Texas, honoring Tía Sylvia Barraz. Her lifelong dedication to teaching and literacy continues to inspire our mission, as does her compassion and unwavering support for generations of students and families. She was a mother figure to all who needed maternal love and support, spending many hours lending an ear to the many students who needed her.
In her memory, we raised $14,000 to support schools in Hebbronville, Texas. Funds provided uniforms and shoes for 40 families, $2,500 in scholarships for graduating seniors, and supported the launch of the Passport to Reading Program in K4 classrooms in Hebbronville and Fowler Elementary. In 2025, we raised an additional $18,500 and distributed 924 books to further expand our literacy efforts.
